In LPU DE, students have the flexibility to join a programme with multiple entry options through Lateral Entry and Migration, subject to fulfillment of the eligibility criteria prescribed by the University for the same.
LATERAL ENTRY OPTION
If a student has done a Diploma in a particular field, he can take admission in the 2nd year of the corresponding self programme. This is applicable for Graduate as well as Post Graduate Programmes, subject to the fulfillment of the eligibility criteria prescribed by the University for the same.
MIGRATION (Flexible Credit based system)
Certain programmes under LPU Distance Education are offered in a flexible credit based system, with multiple entry options which give ample flexibility to the students to opt for the ones which are most suitable to them.
Migration from other recognised Universities/Institutes is allowed to meet the dynamic requirements and needs of distance LPU DE has a strong nationwide network learners subject to fulfillment of conditions as prescribed by the University. Migration option comes with great flexibility, as the students can gain entry in the specified semesters/years of a programme. The basis of the entry to the respective semester/ year is the courses (subjects) already studied and the credits already earned by the student in his preceding semester(s).
If a student has re-appear/ compartment /backlog in any of the course(s)/ subject(s) in the preceding semester(s), he may be given admission. However, he will be required to complete those/ equivalent courses (subjects) along with regular courses (subjects) of the semester to which he is seeking admission.
Note: Migration will be given solely at the discretion of the University.
