12th Convocation

Former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Hon’ble Ms. Mary Elizabeth Truss, awarded degrees to the Distance Education graduates during the 12th Convocation Ceremony of LPU.

11th CONVOCATION

Former Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott awarded degrees to 102 gold medalists, 555 PhD scholars, and 567 outstanding students during the 11th Convocation at LPU. The event also celebrated the graduation of LPU's inaugural cohort of students in online mode. Thousands of Regular, Distance, and Online mode graduates were conferred their degrees during the ceremony.

10th CONVOCATION

18/09/2019 The Vice-President of the Republic of Suriname, a South American Country, Dr. Michael Ashwin Satyandre Adhin presided over the 10th convocation of Lovely Professional University, in which degrees and diplomas were conferred upon thousands of LPU Regular and Distance Education students.

9th CONVOCATION

22/10/2018 The Honble Vice President of India Shri Muppavarapu Venkaiah Naidu presided over the 9th convocation of Lovely Professional University, in which degrees and diplomas were conferred upon thousands of LPU Regular and Distance Education students. Besides, hundreds of students were honored for their meritorious academic performance.

8th CONVOCATION

2nd May 2017 Then Honble President of India Padma Vibhushan Shri Pranab Mukherjee bestowed Ph D Degrees, 38 gold medals and 164 Awards upon meritorious LPU Regular and Distance Education students for their outstanding academic & research performances during 8th Convocation.

23rd February 2016 Honourable Roosevelt Skerrit Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Dominica honoured LPU toppers of various Academic programmes with gold medals.

ONE WORLD 2026

The Centre for Distance and Online Education secured the 2nd Runner-Up position at LPU's ONE WORLD 2026 event for brilliantly showcasing the rich culture of Zimbabwe through compelling storytelling and creative presentation.

1ST RUNNER-UP POSITION IN ONE WORLD 2025

The Centre for Distance & Online Education bagged the 1st Runner-Up position at ONE WORLD 2025, enchanting audiences with an authentic celebration of Gambian music, dance, and storytelling.

CHAMPIONS IN ONE WORLD 2019

LPU DE students from across Punjab, in association with students from Nepal, clinched 1st position in mega-event One World 2019 for representing the country Nepal.

DE STUDENTS WERE 1ST RUNNERS-UP IN ONE WORLD 2017

DE students from across Punjab, in association with students from Lesotho, were 1st Runners-up in One World 2017 at LPU.

MANIFESTING INVENTION & INNOVATIONS OF NEPAL

LPU DE students participated in LPU''s mega event One World on 15th and 16th November 2019 at University Campus. They secured 1ST position among various schools of the university winning cash reward of Rs. 30,000 for depicting Inventions and Innovations of Nepal.

SHOWCASING THE CULTURE HERITAGE OF NEPAL

During the procession of One World 2019, the Distance Education students, along with LPU's Regular National and Nepal students gracefully portrayed the magnificent culture and values of Nepal.

EXHIBITING TRADE AND INDUSTRY OF NIGERIA

During the procession of One World 2019, the Distance Education students, along with LPU's Regular National and International students from Nigeria, left no stone unturned in charming the audience. They depicted the Trade, Commerce and Industry of the country.

SHOWCASING CULTURAL DIVERSITY OF NIGERIA

LPU DE students represented the country Nigeria during mega event- One World held on 28th to 30th March 2019 at University Campus and secured first runners-up position.

BRINGING LESOTHO ALIVE ON THE UNIVERSITY CAMPUS

During the procession of One World 2017, the Distance Education students, along with regular LPU students from Lesotho left no stone unturned in charming the audience. They depicted the Festivals and Cultural Celebrations of the country Lesotho.

SPREADING THE FESTIVITY OF THE COUNTRY LESOTHO

LPU DE students represented the country Lesotho in LPU mega event One World held on 21st and 22nd November 2017 in the University Campus. Where they won first runners-up position.

DANCING TO THE FOLK TUNES OF BURUNDI

DE students collaborated with LPU regular students from Burundi to give a spirited performance in One World 2016 and got second runners up position along with cash award of Rs. 10,000.

REPRESENTING THE COUNTRY BURUNDI

LPU DE students participated in LPU's mega event One World held on 22nd and 23rd November 2016 at University Campus. They represented the country Burundi.

LEARNING SUDANESE DANCE AND CULTURE

LPU DE students got the opportunity to learn about Sudanese dance, music, and culture while collaborating with Sudanese students for representing their country during One World held in November 2015.

COLLABORATING WITH SUDANESE STUDENTS

LPU DE students, in collaboration with LPU students from Sudan, represented the country Sudan during One World held on 26th and 27th November 2015, and secured 2nd runners up position.

SHOWCASING WOMEN EMPOWERMENT OF CAMEROON

LPU DE students not only got the opportunity to learn and imbibe the cultural values of Cameroon but also got to know about the women empowerment practices of Cameroon while participating in One World held in April 2015.

GETTING CONNECTED WITH CAMEROON

LPU DE students collaborated with LPU School of Civil Engineering and LPU international students from Cameroon to represent the country Cameroon during One World held on 14th & 15th April 2015.

PERFORMING MONGOLIAN FOLK DANCE

LPU DE students got to know about Mongolian folk dance and music when they joined hands with Mongolian students of LPU while representing Mongolia in One World 2014 held along with South Asian Universities Fest from 11th to 15th March 2014 at LPU.

1ST RUNNER-UP IN ONE INDIA 2025

The Centre for Distance & Online Education secured the 1st Runner-Up position at One India 2025 by delivering a captivating cultural performance that beautifully highlighted Odisha's rich traditions.

2ND RUNNERS UP IN ONE INDIA 2019

Distance Education students, in unison with regular students of LPU, represented the state of Karnataka and bagged 2nd Runners up position in mega event-One India 2019 at LPU.

2ND RUNNERS UP IN ONE INDIA 2018

DE students, in unison with regular students from Sikkim, were adjudged 2nd Runners up in One India 2018, a mega event characterized by gaiety, colours and enthusiasm of festivals.

DE STUDENTS BRING CULTURAL DIVERSITY TO ONE INDIA

LPU Distance Education students gave a colorful performance representing the state of Karnataka during the mega event-One India held on 28th to 30th March 2019.

REPRESENTING KARNATAKA IN ONE INDIA 2019

DE students worked together with regular students of LPU to represent Karnataka during One India 2019 on the theme 'Trade, Commerce and Industry and secured 2nd runners up position.

BRINGING ALIVE THE COLOURS OF SIKKIM

The colors of Sikkim, its vibrant culture and tribal dance, dedicated to the theme of 'Festivals' in One India 2018, won DE students cash reward of Rs. 10,000.

RECOGNITION FOR REPRESENTING SIKKIM IN ONE INDIA

Distance Education students were adjudged second Runners up for representing the state of Sikkim during mega event One World held on 22nd & 23rd March 2018.

PARTICIPATING IN TRIBAL DANCE OF NAGALAND

Depiction of tribal dances, culture and history of Nagaland, dedicated to the theme of World Peace, made the DE students win cash reward of Rs. 15,000 during One India 2017.

REPRESENTING NAGALAND IN ONE INDIA 2017

Distance Education and Nagaland students of LPU represented the state of Nagaland during mega event One India held on 22nd & 23rd March 2017 and secured first runners-up position.

MESMERISING THE AUDIENCE WITH MAHARASHTRIAN LAVANI

Dressed in bright saris and bedecked in golden jewellery, students performed the Lavani folk dance of Maharashtra state and enchanted the audience with their presentation. The overall performance got the students People's Choice Award for representing Maharashtra during One India 2016.

GLORIFYING THE MARATHA EMPIRE

LPU DE represented the state of Maharashtra, exhibiting the true spirit of valour and enthusiasm of Maratha Empire, depicted through Itihass ke Panno se during One India event held on 25th & 26th March 2016.

RECREATING PUJA FESTIVITIES OF WEST BENGAL

Distance Education students, along with regular students of LPU belonging to West Bengal, gave a soulful performance in accordance with the theme Maa Tujhe Salaam in One India 2015.

HIGHLIGHTING WOMEN EMPOWERMENT IN WEST BENGAL

Colourful procession, Display Stall, Folk Dance and Music performances dedicated to the women achievers of West Bengal were the highlights of LPU DE participation during One India fest held on 19th & 20th March 2015.

IMBIBING KANNADA CULTURE

The colorful depiction of Folk-art of Karnataka including Yaksha Gaan, Chittara Arts and Mud Paintings got Distance Education and Karnataka students of LPU 2nd runners-up trophy during One India event held on 18th & 19th February 2014.

Traditional Punjabi Folk Dance - Malwai Gidha, presented by LPU DE students in the sub-event Virsa- Folk Dance, won many accolades during YouthVibe-2014.

Distance Education students exhibited excellent Heena Making Skills during YouthVibe festivals held in LPU by winning first position for consecutive three years (2014, 2015, and 2016).

LPU DE B.Sc. (IT) student, Gandharv Kalia participated in the Light Vocal Solo competition and secured 4th position during LPU's 17th Inter-School Youth Festival, Spectra 2024. His remarkable talent was appreciated by everyone and won the hearts of the judges.

LPU DE STUDENTS SHINE IN SPECTRA-2020

Lovely Professional University organized one of the biggest virtual cultural competition Spectra-2020. The annual Inter-School Cultural Competition was held in three virtual rounds for 17 catagories in five areas of music, dance, theatre, literary and fine arts. Directorate of Distance Education declared 1st Runners-up in Overall Best Performing School category. Niranjan Chauhan got 1st position in Western Dance, Akash got 1st position in Mimicry and Anandpreet kaur got 1st position in Poetry.
