Personal Contact Programme (PCP) at University Campus
Personal Contact Programmes, conducted at University Campus, Phagwara, Punjab, for various courses, provide the students opportunity for conceptual understanding of the courses and also for learning by interacting with university faculty and fellow students.

Personal Contact Programme for Distance Education students held at LPU Campus from 29-09-2016 to 05-10-2016

LPU conducted a week long Personal Contact Programme (PCP) for Distance Education students at University campus from 29 September 2016 to 05 October 2016. Hundreds of students from various locations of Punjab like Phagwara, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Barnala, Hoshiarpur, Gurdaspur, Malerkotla, Amritsar, Muktsar, Ropar, Mohali, Patiala, Tanda, Nabha, Nawanshahr, Malout, Abohar, Bathinda, Jagraon, Rajpura, Kapurthala, Banga, Budhlada, Moga, Nakodar, Jalalabad, Ajnala, Mansa, Mahilpur, Sunam, Rayya, Chamkaur Sahib, Pathankot etc. attended the PCP classes.

University planned and conducted PCP classes in the disciplines of Management,Computer Applications, Information Technology, Commerce, Library and Information Sciences, Economics, Education, Mathematics, English, Hindi, Punjabi, Political Science, History and Sociology. Around 130 faculty members were engaged to conduct classes pertaining to 260+ courses.

LPU organized Personal Contact Programme for its Distance Education students at University campus from 30 April, 2016 to 6 May 2016. Hundreds of students from various parts of Punjab like Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Hoshiarpur, Mahilpur, Faridkot, Ferozepur, Amritsar, Phagwara, Sangrur, Nawanshahr, Rajpura, Dasuya, Kapurthala, Banga, Moga, Nakodar, Ajnala, Mansa, Sunam, Anandpur Sahib and Garhshanker attended the PCP and interacted with expert university faculty for face to face academic counseling. Out-stationed students resided in the university hostel during the PCP.

Based on the online registration of the students, university planned and conducted PCP classes in the disciplines of Management, Computer Applications, Information Technology, Commerce, Library & Information Sciences and Arts. 150+ faculty members were engaged to conduct classes pertaining to 195+ courses.

LPU organized Personal Contact Programme (PCP) for its Distance Education students at University campus in the first week of December 2015. Hundreds of students from places like Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Barnala, Batala, Amritsar, Phagwara, Ropar, Bassi Pathana, Tanda Urmar, Nawanshahr, Bathinda, Chabhal, Banga, Budhlada, Moga, Sahnewal, Nakodar, Adampur, Raikot, Sunam, Anandpur Sahib, Cheema Mandi, Kharar, Mohali, Pathankot, Talwandi Sabo, Phillaur, Hoshiarpur, Tarn-Taran and Urapar interacted with expert university faculty for face to face academic counselling sessions.

Based on the online registration of the students, university planned and conducted PCP classes in the disciplines of Management, Computer Applications, Information Technology, Computer Science, Commerce, Library & Information Sciences and Arts. Classes pertaining to 170 courses were engaged by more than 100 faculty members.

Students from places like Jalandhar, Hoshiarpur, Ludhiana, Amritsar, Bathinda, Banga, Sahnewal, Nakodar, Adampur, Talwandi Sabo interacted with expert university faculty for face to face academic counselling sessions.

Students were earlier asked to register themselves online to avail PCP in their enrolled courses. Based on their response, university planned and conducted PCP classes in the disciplines of Management, Computer Applications, Information Technology, Commerce, Mathematics, Library & Information Sciences and Arts. Students from remote locations of Punjab availed hostel facility of the university and had firsthand experience of university life.

LPU always strives to provide best of opportunities to its DE students and conducting PCP for DE students at university campus is one of the endeavor of LPU in this direction.



Personal Contact Programme for Distance Education Students held at University Campus from 1.05.2015 to 12.05.2015

LPU organized Personal Contact Programme (PCP) for its Distance Education students at University campus from 1st May to 12th May 2015 in which students from places like Amritsar, Banga, Barnala, Jalandhar, Kurali, Ludhiana, Moga, Nangal and Phagwara got the academic mentoring from the expert university faculty.

Students got the opportunity to interact with the faculty from disciplines like Management, Commerce, Computer Application, Mathematics, Library & Information Sciences and Hindi. Along with the conceptual understanding of the courses, students also got the chance to experience university life during PCP days.

Speaking about the Personal Contact Programme, LPU DE student Ms Rupali said, "This was a great opportunity for me to interact with experts of my field and study in such a good atmosphere". Another student Mr. Damanjot Singh remarked, "It is great opportunity for Distance education students to study in University Campus just like regular students. We are really thankful to the University for providing us such platform".

Hundreds of Distance Education students of Lovely Professional University from places like Abohar, Amritsar, Anandpur Sahib, Banga, Fatehgarh Churian, Phagwara, Jalandhar, Lucknow, Ludhiana, Malaout, Malerkotla, Nakodar, Phillaur, Tanda etc attended a week long Personal Contact Programme (PCP) at university campus.

Organized by university in every session, PCP provides opportunity for its Distance Education (DE) students to interact with the faculty members and fellow students at university campus. This not only facilitates the conceptual understanding of the courses but also allows the student to experience university life of a regular student for a few days besides getting access to various university facilities.

Speaking about the Personal Contact Programme, one of the LPU DE students Ms. Priyanka Dhiman told, "LPU has provided us a great platform to study in the university environment. The interaction with university faculty and officials was outstanding". Another student Mr. Amandeep Singh remarked, "The way of teaching at LPU is just awesome. I cleared all my doubts in the PCP classes". "We are very much thankful to LPU for providing us this doubt clearing session. It will really help us in the Exams", added Ms. Rajwinder.
